He designed and built a travel app end to end, from the product rules to the iPhone app, and runs it in production.

  • Built the backend in Python and FastAPI, and kept every privacy rule in one tested module: mutual photo reveal, private seat numbers and automatic expiry after landing.
  • Wrote 122 automated tests that must pass before any deploy. Deploys run through GitHub Actions to Fly.io, with Sentry monitoring and Litestream backups.
  • Integrated the Claude API with schema-validated output, rate limiting and a fallback if the model fails.
  • Built encrypted offline chat for the iPhone app with a custom Swift plugin (Multipeer Connectivity, Curve25519, ChaChaPoly).
  • Ran a security review of the app himself and set up sign-in by email code and Google.
