I trained as an electronics and clinical engineer. I tested medical devices in Austria's largest hospital, installed systems on site, then ran technical operations across countries. Today I build my own software.

I independently develop Wingmate, from product rules and a deployed Python backend to an iOS app with a TestFlight beta planned.

Built the backend in Python and FastAPI, and kept every privacy rule in one tested module: mutual photo reveal, private seat numbers and automatic expiry after landing.
Wrote 198 automated tests that must pass before any deploy. Deploys run through GitHub Actions to Fly.io, with Sentry monitoring and Litestream backups.
Integrated the Claude API with schema-validated output, rate limiting and a fallback if the model fails.
Built encrypted offline chat for the iPhone app with a custom Swift plugin (Multipeer Connectivity, Curve25519, ChaChaPoly).
Ran a security review of the app myself and set up sign-in by email code and Google.
Implemented a Pro subscription with a free trial, referrals, saved feed filters and same-flight-only flight privacy.

Sabbatical: surf, languages & web work

I took a sabbatical in Latin America, combining language study, surf instruction, volunteering and web projects.

Ran incoming inspections, periodic safety inspections and metrological checks under the Austrian medical device regulation (MPBV).
